RII30915 Certificate III in Civil Construction

Our RII30915 Certificate III in Civil Construction is a nationally accredited qualification designed for individuals that wish to work in the construction industry. Work positions range from entry to middle level and include labourer, plant operators, property developer, traffic management, riggers, drivers and other related job roles.

The Australian Construction Industry has a ‘No tickets. No job!’ policy.

Our course provides a foothold into the growing Civil Construction industry. Our course opens the door to a range of exciting job opportunities from local government to domestic or large scale construction.

• Identify, locate and protect underground services
• Read and interpret plans and specifications
• Skid Steer loader operations
• Backhoe & loader operations
• Excavator operations
• Roller operations
• Wheeled front end loader operations

• Construction Induction Card
• General Construction
• Earth Moving Support
• Earth Moving Plant

Job roles include

• Plant operator (truck, Excavator, Skid Steer Loader, Backhoe, Front-End Loader)
• Civil construction manager

Who is this course designed for?

For those currently employed in the civil construction industry who want to gain the skills needed to improve their performance and opportunities for progression in the workforce. It is also suitable for new workers and job seekers.

Course Duration: Delivered over 12 month period (20 training days)

Cost: This course is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding. Eligibility criteria applies. Individuals with disabilities should seek advice about applying.

Pre-requisites: None

Requirements:

• Must have valid photo ID (drivers licence or passport)
• Students need to satisfy the attendance and participation requirements of the course to be eligible for a qualification
• Participants will be required to do manual work over long periods therefore a level of health and fitness suitable to the role is required.
• An appropriate level of literacy and numeracy is required to undertake tasks such as reading and interpreting engineering drawings and calculations of volume
